I'm Poppy, and I already have my forever home.
But I have greyhound friends still looking for homes
See my friendsPoppy is a four year old pretty little Lurcher girl. Poor Poppy has not had the best starts in life and has already had two different homes. Poppy is an affectionate, intelligent little girl, she is house trained and she has been used to living with children and enjoys their company, especially if they are prepared to throw a ball for her to play fetch.
Poppy responds quickly to commands like sit and stay etc. but it is apparent that this training has been achieved harshly and she responds to commands from fear.
Poppy is desperate for love and affectionate and wants to please so that she can get positive attention, however it is clear she hasn’t been socialised well outside of the home and she can be reactive on the lead, she isn’t aggressive but is fearful and barks at strange dogs. We feel with more socialisation and patience this will improve.
Poppy although she appears confident and happy in the home is a worried little girl, only bad things seem to happen to her. She would be happier living with someone who is home for much of the day and would benefit from an experienced dog owner, she can live as an only dog or with another gentle dog she can gain confidence from.
This little girl really needs to find a loving forever home that really is forever, she has been let down too many times in her short life already.
