I'm Monkey, and I already have my forever home.
But I have greyhound friends still looking for homesSee my friends
Monkey is a little black Greyhound girl who has recently retired from Greyhound racing; she is just three years old. Monkey may benefit from a prettier change of name when she finds her forever home, but oddly once you get over her name and get used to it, it is strangely endearing. Monkey’s racing name was Sand Monkey.
Monkey is a very nervous, timid little girl who is afraid of her own shadow. This has not been caused by harsh treatment, it is simply the way she is. It takes her quite a while to get used to new surroundings and new people. Monkey has only known her racing Kennels and the race track where she ran. She coped with this very well, because it was what she knew and trusted.
Monkey needs an understanding, sighthound savvy owner that will help her adjust to the world outside of all she has ever known. She needs a calm, quiet, patient home, she would not cope or be happy in a busy, noisy family home. Clearly she would take comfort from another confident, calm dog to show her the way towards enjoying the rest of her life.
To earn the trust and love of this gorgeous little girl is priceless and she would reward you with total loyalty and love. If you can offer Monkey a home please contact us.
