I'm Lloyd, a rescue greyhound and I want to be adopted.Ask us about Lloyd
Lloyd is a big, handsome Irish Greyhound who has just retired from Greyhound racing. Lloyd was born on 15th August 2015 so he is still a young dog.
Although Lloyd was a racing Greyhound we know that he has spent some of his life living in a house, this was quite apparent when he had an overnight stay in a foster home on route to the Kennels. Lloyd simply walked in, made good use of the facilities and looked like he had always lived there! Lloyd was happy and respectful to the resident Greyhounds, he was clean in the house and accepted the routine there. However he was clearly very disappointed that he wasn’t invited upstairs at bedtime!
Lloyd, as you can see from his photos, has unusual colouring and markings, he also has an amazing array of wonderful facial expressions. He is a stunning dog with a happy, fun loving nature. He is very affectionate and enjoys nothing more than a big cuddle.
Lloyd is not cat or small furries safe, he currently has quite a high prey drive and for this reason would benefit from an experienced sighthound family. Lloyd would be equally happy as an only dog or living with other hounds. He would enjoy the company of children, but due to his size this would need to be older children.
