I'm Gertie, and I already have my forever home.
But I have greyhound friends still looking for homes
See my friendsGertie came to Hector’s from Ireland with her brother Chip, who was two years old, on 26th February. Whatever the reason they escaped a life of Greyhound racing, we can only guess at, but Gertie, like her brother, is a very healthy and happy young Greyhound.
Gertie is a white and black beautiful Greyhound girl with an enviable waistline that shows her youth. Gertie is a little more nervous and less trusting than her brother and loves fuss and attention when she believes it’s safe. Gertie is clearly very keen to have a little fun and will be quite playful when she trusts her forever people.
We hope Hector’s don’t receive a load of complaints from the following observation, but sometimes the females are far more clever and astute than male Greyhounds. While Gertie’s brother is a daft cuddle monster, Gertie is the brains of the family!
Gertie will undoubtedly be a fun-loving girl with a streak of diva and will be a fabulous addition to any family.
Gertie can live as an only dog or alongside side other dogs. Although slightly nervous, Gertie is clever enough with a loving forever human by her side to embrace all things new in the outside world. She will be a funny, loving, quirky girl quickly earning her place in a forever home.
If you can offer this beautiful girl a forever home, please contact us.
