Who is Sally
Sally, as you can see, is a beautiful rough-coated lurcher. At just 8 years old, Sally was recently handed into our care after a hard life of hunting and breeding.
We took Sally in for a laparoscopic spay, only to receive some sad news from our vet. They had removed a strip from her mammary glands and it looked to be cancerous. They got the diagnosis right and the rescue has been left devastated by the news.
The long term prognosis for Sally isn't good - only around 1/3 of dogs will make it more than 1 year with this aggressive form of cancer. Sadly, we know it’s already spread into her lymphatic system, and so now we intend to give Sally the very best quality of life in her remaining months.
