Hector's Greyhound Rescue

Ben is a stunning big blue Greyhound who has recently retired from racing, he was born in August 2014 and weighs in at over 38kgs. Ben is a firm favourite with Hector’s volunteers, his beautiful looks, super size and sunny disposition make this big blue boy a complete charmer. Ben is a real people pleaser, he adores his cuddles and playtime in the paddock with his humans & loves showing off his soppy side, it’s hard to resist his big brown eyes when he’s staring up at you!
Ben can be strong on his lead initially, he does have a reasonably high prey drive and this combined with lightening speed, means he needs to be muzzled when out and about. That said, like most greys he loves burning a short burst of energy and then having a gentle stroll & exploring the world through his nose!

Ben is calm and clean in his kennel, he is a very happy chap, loving and attentive to people visiting and his regular walkers. He would benefit from an experienced sighthound owner but would happily live as an only dog or with another sighthound. Ben is not small furry safe, including small dogs, he does however react well to the toddler that he’s met on several occasions. Ben is definitely overdue his forever home, a comfy sofa where he can roach and a family to call his own.
